What is meta tags
I hope all of you will be fine.In the given post we'll discuss about the famous seo term named as:Meta Tags.Every newbie want to learn about meta tags,its necessity and its importance in search engine optimization.I am often using the term search engine optimization in every article because the course we started is related to the given term.
Basically, Meta tags are the codes use to provide structural data of a web page.These tags helps the search engines to read the webs,its content types and its categories.They are the part of <head> section.It is written in HTML and XHTML language.It mainly specify the page description and its keywords.
Importance of meta tags in seo
Now we talk about how these tags works.Meta tags helps the search engines to find the specific website.
Let us discuss the term with the following example:
Suppose a person search "Introduction to Webmaster tools and its role in seo" in google or other search engine.After this google analyze the different meta tags of the sites like titles,description and keywords.When a particular meta tag of the web match with the searching keywords than google will show the result of the particular site.It is noted that your website will not get higher ranking or good web traffic until your meta tags are not properly added or not good.In order to gain higher number of ranking than pay heed to it.
Necessity of meta tags
Search engine usually ignores the websites or blogs which do not contain meta tags or it does not brings the webs to the first page.That's why the website does not gain enough ranking or traffic.It should be noted that the creation of labels while writing a post is also a type of meta tags.
Structural study of meta tags
We discuss meta tags with the following picture:
- The text "Facebook - Log in or Sign Up" is a meta title
- The small description which is highlighted in a box is a meta description.
- The keyword "Facebook" which I search is the meta keyword.
In order to get higher ranking, keyword should be neat and good.Only use the keywords which meets with your website content and the keyword should have low competition.
Suppose we open a shop of clothes in a market.there is only one shop in the market.So much of customer will come there to buy clothes,If the market have higher number of clothes houses than customer would prefer better clothes shop which have good clothes.In the same way when we use high competitive keywords,than there is less chance to get more visitors.So keep working to use ordinary or un-specific keywords.
